Women's Altar Society

For years, SJV’s Saint Martha’s Altar Society (SMAS) has been instrumental in providing events and opportunities for the parish, including the Saint Patrick’s Day Dinner & Silent Auction, Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner (a parish-wide dinner party), the Ladies’ Luncheon, funding books for the youth group, Legendary Lodge Scholarships as well as scholarships for other Catholic camps or events, and more. After many unsuccessful attempts to promote new leadership to step forward, the ministry went into suspension. It can be reactivated if 1) three women agree to serve as President, Secretary and Treasurer and 2) their proposal to reactivate is approved by SJV leadership.

If reactivated, the new SMAS officers could continue these programs and events or they could refesh the organization’s structure and activities. If you are interested in volunteering to serve in this capacity for SMAS please reach out to sjvbelgrade.org
